IMPLANTS

An IMPLANT is a small titanium screw placed in the jawbone as a substitute for the tooth root. Implants are used to support single teeth, a complete prosthesis or fixed ceramic bridges for the entire mouth.

In some cases a provisional or definitive prosthesis, crown or bridge can be placed on an implant with no waiting time for osseointegration. In other cases you must wait three to six months before the implants can be loaded.

Implants are used not only to replace teeth lost through wear, extraction or ageing, but also to rebuild a dentition lost in an accident, as this technique makes it possible to replace every tooth in the mouth.
