Una correcta HIGIENE BUCAL consta en una atenta limpieza diaria, con un cepillo y una pasta de dientes adecuadas a nuestra dentadura, tantas veces como sea necesario (por regla general: a la hora de despertarse, después de las comidas principales y antes de dormir). Se recomienda la utilización del hilo dental o de un irrigador para la limpieza de los espacios interdentales. Los enjuagues bucales completan la higiene bucal, eliminando la mayoría de los gérmenes y ayudando a prevenir las caries.
También se recomienda una limpieza bucal realizada por profesionales, una vez al año o según recomendación del médico.
